All student association, clubs and fraternities are suppervised/sponsored by staff/faculty however, all officers are students. Below is a list of active association
ACADEMIC CLUBS:
- Science Club: for students to apply concepts learnt in class in their everyday lives.
- Debating Club: is for those seeking to sharpen their wits and tongues, and to practice their knowledge of parliamentary procedure.
- Journalism Club: for the development of high standards of reporting and publication.
SOCIAL CLUBS:
- Social Graces Club: to help students to develop and improve on proper social behaviour.
- Ethics Club: to help students to be more aware of the need for good manners.
- 4-H Club: one of the several avenues for developing leadership skills, especially at the rural community level.
- Home Economics Club: particularly for those men, as well as women, whose time-table does not permit them to pursue this subject, but who would like to develop home making skills.
- Rotaract: to provide service to the community through fellowship and hard work.
- UCCF: (Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship)- to help students engage in reading and discussing the Bible, to strive for spiritual growth, and to encourage them to share the Word of God.
- Drama Club: for those interested in the arts, this being where all arts meet.
- Circle K Club: a community service club sponsored by the Kiwanis, an international organization.
DENOMINATIONAL FRATERNITIES
- Anglican FraternityThe objective of this fraternity is ‘to unify and strengthen the spiritual bond among our fellow students as we have been exhorted by the Lord, through preaching the Word of God.
Ultimately they will find Jesus to be their Friend, and come to know Him as their Saviour. We aim to achieve this objective through personal witnessing, regular worship and through exemplary living.
- Baptist: Their aim is to testify of God’s love to others and to participate in outreach programmes to uplift the needy.
- Evangelicals: Their aim is to share in Youth Services at other churches and witness to others through Bible studies.
- Seventh Day Adventist: seeks to express God’s love and grace through singing and fellowship, and seek to encourage others to follow Christ.
- UCAM: (Universities and Colleges Apostolic Ministry) engages in visitation programmes to hospitals, children and golden age homes.
They have regular retreats to fulfill outreach mission to the needy.
- Peer Counselling:The Peer Counselling Programme at Church Teachers' College is designed to foster the development of skills relating to students’ emotional growth.
Participants develop self-worth, confidence, the ability to relate to others and to share in other’s problems, and to think through and work out their solutions.
These skills used to help others.
