Church Teachers' Colllege :: Health Services

The College is concerned with the physical and emotional health of the students as well as the promotion of individual and general health and safety in the College community. A Registered Nurse is employed full-time and a Sick-Bay is furnished adjacent to Spathodia Hall. A doctor visits the College twice per month, on every first and third Thursdays. The Health Service Team is comprized of a fully qualified Guidance Counsellor, a Chaplain and the Nurse.

The Sick-Bay hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Mondays to Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm on Fridays. Mandeville has two hospitals where out-patient, as well as in-service care, is provided. These two hospitals are within 10 minutes from the College. Other health care facilities are also locally available, including dental, psychiatric, pediatric and optical care. Students are personally responsible for any medical bills they incur. However life insurance coverage is provided for by the college.

In the event of an emergency, students should contact the Nurse or nearest resident member of staff immediately.
