Mission

The Library's Mission is to make available a comprehensive collection of scholarly materials and provide library services congruent with the institution's instructional and research requirements.

About Us

The College Library serves a population of over eight hundred (800) students, Academic Staff of over sixty (60), and the wider community at large. The Library has a seating capacity for 180 patrons, group study areas and an information common area where multiple students can work together.

Opening Hours

Mon. -Thursdays: 8:30 am -9:00pm
Fridays: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Saturdays: 10:00am- 2:00pm

A fifteen (15) station Computer Terminal and individual study carrels are other conveniences that users enjoy.  The Library’s collection presently includes approximately thirty thousand (30,000) books and current journals, as well as audio visuals, and DVDs. Maps, microforms, pamphlets, magazines, newspapers and music CDs are also available. Additionally, students have full text access to electronic journals and electronic books via online databases. Other services include photocopying, printing, computer scanning, internet access, book loans and reference. Information on Opening Hours and Library Rules and Policies, which all students are required to observe, are available at the Library.

The Library continues to serve as a gateway to global information, enabling direct and remote access to resources in a variety of formats. It serves as a dynamic hub makes makes available a comprehensive collection of scholarly materials and library services appropriate to the varying needs of our students.

  • No loud talking or unnecessary chatter.
  • All bags (including handbags and laptop carrying cases) are to be left in the Baggage Area.
  • Remove all valuables (including laptops) before leaving your bags in the designated area.
  • All persons entering the library must present a valid identification card to the security personnel on duty.
  • Absolutely no eating is allowed.
  • Cellular phones must be on vibrate mode.
  • Short and tight clothing and sleeveless tops are not allowed. For details, please see the current issue of the  Student handbook.
  • Books consulted in the library should not be reshelved.
  • Due to the limited number of machines in the library, individuals are allowed a maximum of one hour per session at any given time.
  • The removal of any material from the library should be properly authorized and recorded.
  • All persons exiting the library will be subject to a security search. Persons caught leaving the library with unauthorized materials will be heavily penalized.
  • Patrons are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly manner. Patrons can be suspended for outrageous and unacceptable behaviour.
  • Encyclopedias and dictionaries are for consultation only and should be kept within the confines of the Reference Room
